Breakfast in Hilton London Metropole
Lounge or bar in Hilton London Metropole
Lobby or reception in Hilton London Metropole
Upon check-in (which was just after midnight), we found out that the room was not cleaned to a standard appropriate to the Hilton. We aired this to the attention of the receptionist and asked to speak to a manager. The shift manager, Kris, took IMMEDIATE action: 1. He did not come up with excuses or questioned our grievance. 2. He did not delay 3. He unquestionably and immediately (a) provided an upgrade to better room, (b) provided free breakfast for the duration of our stay and (c) waived the accommodation fee for that evening. I have to admit that I was impressed with Kris and his assistant Morgan. Their demeanor, their promptness and their customer-focused approach was nothing short of commendable. They are both to be congratulated. A very well done and "thank you" to them both, for having managed to turn a bad situation into a good one and for brightening up our accommodation!

Everything would have been 10 out of 10 but unfortunately the system, or lack of system at the bar let's you down. At least 3 times I was stood at the bar for at least 15 minutes without having made eye contact with a member of staff. It really spoilt my stay. I watched people leaving because they'd had enough. I just wanted a relaxed end to the evening but got stressed at being completely ignored. And it wasn't busy! When you finally grab someone's attention, they say they can't serve you. It was flabbergasted. Jorge ,the breakfast host got you back up to an 8 out of 10. An absolute gentleman and genuinely nice bloke. He accommodated myself and my family so warmly and easily. This was a very busy weekend for the breakfast crew and Jorge and the team were unflappable and couldn't have done more for everyone. The bar staff could learn a thing or two from Jorge and team.

Room is fine: it is updated (which is not in every 4 star (Hilton) hotel). Shower is good, bed is good. Enough space. The hotel looks good, and there is a coffee bar, restaurant, etc. It is close to 2 different metro stations (Bakerloo line, and Circle line/Hammersmith & City line). Coffee bars are across the street, and it is 10 min. walk to Marble Arch (the beginning of shopping street Oxford Street, and the corner of Hyde Park). Coffee and tea facilities are also in the room. Nice view from the top floors.

Room is spacious, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. I usually have a lot of trouble sleeping well in hotels due to the change in environment, but I slept so well in the Hilton, to the point I did not suffer from jet lag at all -- it was a pleasant surprise! I love the convenient location next to Paddington station, and with convenience stores and an M&S right at our doorstep. The breakfast buffet was decent too.

for us its always been the location for many years that we have been staying here whenever we visit London. walking distance to Hyde park,Oxford street and all halal eateries with variety of choice. bus and underground stations only few steps,Paddington station also not too far. I thank your staff at reception, concierge desk and door for assistance whenever we required anything.
